Manning Lynch began working in the construction industry when he was 14 years old. His father handed him a broom and a dust pan and said, "get to sweeping!" From sweeper to carpenter to contractor/developer, he honed his skills in every aspect of the profession.
Homebuilding is not only a vocation for Manning, but a cornerstone of his core philosophy that home ownership should be attainable for as many people as possible. Building fine affordable homes is only one part of his advocacy for home ownership. Much of his community involvement is centered around this principle.
Manning is community minded and has served in many volunteer capacities. He currently serves as Chairman of the Spartanburg County Council and on the board of the Spartanburg Homebuilders Association. As past President of this organization, his involvement in issues and advocacy had been invaluable to the industry.
When Manning is not working or volunteering, you can find him cycling the backroads of Spartanburg County or hiking in the mountains of Western North Carolina with his wife, Mary Speed and dog, Miss Milly.
